The thoughts behind the "Good and Faithful Student"

I was given quite an incredible opportunity this year to be a uni student! 7 years ago I had no interest in being at school and did not want to complete year 11. Last year God was making it very clear to me that I would make a good teacher and that I needed to develop my knowledge in this area. I applied for uni and qtac declined my application, saying that I didn't have the right pre-requisite knowledge to get into the course. So I just brushed it off and thought 'Oh well, I'll try again later.' However God had another plan. In January this year I got a letter of acceptance for Christian Heritage College to study a Bachelor Primary Ed! Woweee! So here I am now, a uni student, just made it through first semester and starting to tackle semester two! There have been huge challenges along the way. With finances, with work, with travel, completing assignments and heaps more. But it is obvious that God wants me here and he has given me the strength to get through semester 1 with distinctions! I have no doubt that I'll be able to make it through semester 2 with a wedding mid-semester and the following semesters to come - whatever the challenges may be.

A verse that God has given me recently is:

Matthew 25:23
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

This is what I want to be - God's servant - but not only that but His faithful student. Because ultimately, I am doing this for Him.
So here I am going to blog, the good and the bad... the ups and the downs...
....the joy of what it is to be God's Good and Faithful Student!
